The group of 'Indian' hackers took down the website following a warning and registering discontent over Canadian government's allegations over Nijjar killing.

On September 21, 2023, a group of Indian hackers claimed responsibility for taking down the website of the Canadian Armed Forces. The group, which called itself the Indian Cyber Force, shared screenshots of the website being down on social media.

The attack came amid rising tensions between India and Canada over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had recently announced that intelligence agencies were investigating "credible" allegations linking Indian agents to Nijjar's death.

The Indian Cyber Force said that it was carrying out the attack in retaliation for Trudeau's comments and to "send a message" to Canada. The group also warned that it would carry out more attacks if Canada did not stop "interfering" in India's internal affairs.

The Canadian government confirmed that the website of the Armed Forces had been down, but said that it was back up and running within a few hours. The government also said that it was investigating the attack and that it would take steps to protect its websites from future attacks.

It is important to note that the Indian government has denied any involvement in the attack on the Canadian Armed Forces website.
